Gainey Ranch is adjacent to McCormick Ranch and right in the heart of Scottsdale. It was the original home of Daniel C Gainey's Scottsdale Arizona Arabian Ranch. In the 1980's when the Gainey Family consolidated their Arabian business to their California ranch the third of Scottsdale's planned communities began. A smaller parcel of land at the southwest corner still owned by Guy Stillman, (see McCormick Ranch) was added in the 1990's to completed Gainey Ranch, adding the upscale Village Shops and eateries, an upscale day spa and the third card gated community of single family villa type homes.
Gainey Ranch is a 24 hour guard gated (original 2 sections) luxury community and upscale resort living at it's very best! The Daniel C Gainey Estate Club, the original home of the McCormicks, was moved to this location in the 1990's and is now the social Community Center for all residents, with exercise facilities, heated pool, tennis courts and croquet lawns.
The Gainey Ranch Golf Club is a private club sharing 30-40% of it's tee times with the Gainey Hyatt Hotel located in the center of the community and adjacent to the Corporate Center with many large corporate offices. There are three nine hole golf courses (desert, traditional and lakes) and does not require that a member be a resident of Gainey Ranch.
The residential areas of Gainey Ranch have a distinct european flavor with small village type communities each with their own heated community pools and homeowners associations. There are 2 sections divided by Doubletree Rd and 24 hour guard gates at each. Gainey Ranch is a huge favorite for our winter homes and second home owners because of the resort lifestyle and ability to "lock and go".
